Welcome to Leadership Through Multimedia & The Arts Magnet School – P.S. 116K! Our purpose at LMA Magnet School is to help our Falcons learn to lead with integrity and soar to excellence in everything they do. Our strength lies in our diversity, collaboration, and commitment.
At LMA we foster creativity, ambition, resilience, and empowerment by ensuring that these Core Values are reflected throughout our school community each and every day. We teach every student, from our littlest learners in 3K all the way to 5th graders to envision how they see themselves as leaders.
At LMA, we take our time to build relationships with our students and our families. Our little red schoolhouse fosters a strong sense of community. Our magnet theme of Leadership through Multimedia and the Arts is reflected in our daily instruction, artist residencies and afterschool programs. Since our theme is embedded throughout the day, students are able to find their areas to thrive. We see individual excellence in every member of the LMA community, and find ways to foster their leadership skills. Every member of our falcon family is in good hands, and we take pride in knowing we go above and beyond for our community.
